As Thanksgiving break has come and gone, finals season is now upon us, and we may be feeling a little like Elle when it comes to our professors' grading scales:
Like Elle, though, we can take the rest of the semester into our own hands and still finish off strong.
1. Dress for success.
While this may seem silly, you'll feel so much more positive and confident if you do so.
2. Use your resources.
It may be a long walk to the library, but it can also be your best friend.
3. Don't be afraid to ask for help.
Whether it's attending office hours or studying with friends, two heads are better than one.
4. Tackle the difficult material first.
Don't soak up your time studying the material you already know when there's plenty of harder material that would benefit from extra study hours.
5. Take breaks.
Breaks are crucial when studying, so take a short run or walk over to a friend's.
6. Remember why you started.
Whether you're in the class because it's a general education or major requirement, you're likely in there for a reason. If you're feeling extremely frustrated with one class in particular, just remember these wise words from one of our favorite professors.
7. Notice the little details.
While it's obviously important to know the big-picture concepts, many professors will also test over small details that may seem unimportant as well.
8. Be prepared.
The ultimate goal when studying for finals is to walk in as prepared as possible and to have the material feel elementary.
9. Believe in yourself.
Simply knowing the material won't get you very far unless you're also confident in what you know.
10. Crush your finals.
All the stressing and hard work has hopefully paid off as we finally leave those classes for the last time.
Finals are done, the semester is over, and you still have that one professor emailing you about the class because they're behind on grading.
Now that classes are finally done, it's time to celebrate with friends before heading home for break!
