Those of us that have been born with the "gift of gab" are definitely a unique bunch. We have many ways of identifying ourselves: social butterflies, chatterboxes, yappers, etc. But no matter what you call us, we can all talk someone's ear off and can relate to these eleven points:
1. You talk really really loud without even realizing it. People have reminded you multiple times that they are right next to you and you don't need to yell.
"What is an inside voice?"
2. Your friends and family have learned to keep up with you when you talk and/or just make it seem like they are.
“No, no please continue to talk! That glazed over look in my eyes doesn’t mean you're talking too much!"
3. Your parents were told in Parent Teacher Conferences that you talk too much in class.
4. People ask you all the time if you breathe when you talk.
5. The things you want to say in your head run faster than your mouth can keep up with.
6. Formal public speaking can become a real nightmare.
"Excuse me, you're talking way too fast, and we have no clue what you're saying."
7. When you talk on the phone, you have to hold the phone away from your face so you're not yelling at the poor person on the other end of the phone.
And can we talk about that phone bill, $$$$!
8. You sometimes have real ADHD when you are talking to your friends.
"So yesterday when I was walking to class, oh wait did I tell you that dinner is at 6 and not 5, anyways, there was this guy, oh and on Tuesday I want to go to the mall, and he had this weird look on his face..."
9. You never had to worry about being labeled as "the shy kid."
10. You are one bubbly person that never needs to worry about awkward moments of silence when socializing.
11. And most of the time, you don't even realize how much you talk.
“Do you think I talk too much? I mean, people say I talk too much, but I don’t think I do. I may talk a lot, but tons of people talk a lot more than I do.”
