It's that time of year again! And by THAT, I mean the time of screaming children, soccer moms, being harassed by music you're disinterested in at lunch, and pretending you don't exist!
1. You feel excitement to see your friends and return to the halls that held so many memories! Of course, school is still four weeks away....
2. Your class schedule arrives in the mail sparking panic over who will be in those classes...Jack from the football team? Jane from the cheer squad? Of course, your biggest worry is if your bestie is in your lunch period.
3. There's some slight excitement about picking out all new notebooks and a first day of school outfit after begging your parents for some cash and a ride and trying to dodge their pep-talks about the upcoming year.
4. Posting your schedule on Snapchat and Instagram to make sure you know as many people as possible in your classes, for better or worse. (Porbably worse...)
5. Calling your counselor and pitching a fit because if Bill from last year, now in your third block, even THINKS about pulling your ponytail or even talking to you, he will not live until June.
6. Finally getting switched from third block and asking around the previous year's class to get the scoop on all of your teachers. Of course, you got stuck with a spitter in first block.
7. Pinning Life Hacks of all sorts to your Back to School Pinterest board as if you'll actually do them...LOL, you'll forget they even exist until Christmas break and by then you're too lazy to try it.
8. Ending all your Summer flings...or job....because you totally told your friends there was another hot waiter. He was hot though...just in the "dripping with sweat" way...
9. Hardly sleeping the night before, and probably spending most of the night eating ice cream with Netflix, in attempt to brace yourself for the coming year of boys, drama, homework, friends, mean teachers, and tripping up the stairs.
10. Trying to get dressed, even though your once amazing outfit suddenly looks a whole lot worse than it did upon purchase.
11. Arriving to your first period class nervously and, even though Jane is there to poke fun at your hair, your best friends have your back bringing much relief.
