We need to stay united

Moving Forward After the 2016 Election

So we all know this election has been the hottest topic all week. Everyone has shared their opinions either online or with one another. I completely support those that do get involved and talk about the election. What I don't support are those who speak their mind and act like they have a say when they didn't vote. If you did not vote in the election, you can not be upset on the outcome. Voting is such a privilege that us US citizens have and it's such a sin to me to not vote. Imagine not having the ability to vote or have any say in your government--some countries don't. We have the ability to have a say and pick a candidate.

Regardless of who won, we need to stay united. Our country has never been this divided in a long time. Regardless of who won, it's our duty as citizens to support and back up the president. If we do not support and respect our president, the next couple of years will not go as well. If Hillary can be a bigger person, we all can too. Just because Trump won doesn't mean our country is going to backwards. We will move forward and be united. It's now clear that even though many people may not have liked Trump as a person, they believe he can make the changes necessary to improve our country. We as Americans need change. If we would have had Hillary in office, nothing would have changed. It would have been as if Obama never left.

We cannot judge too fast. I think we should all just keep our opinions to ourselves until Trump has made some action. It is essential for our country to stay united. If we are not united then we will never move forward regardless of who is our President. I am asking everyone regardless of who they voted for to re-think their actions lately and what they have said, and to really think of how important it is for us to come together and support our new president.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
