Whether you’re a freshman or a senior, trust me, these four years fly by quicker than you can imagine. However, I can confidently say attending Eastern Kentucky University was the best decision I could have made and these past four years were definitely worth it. Before your time draws near, I’ve compiled a list of things I challenge you to accomplish before it's your turn to walk across that stage.

1. Take a selfie with President Benson.

2. Attend the midnight breakfast.

3. During a snowstorm, sled down the ravine.

4. Eat at Stratton for lunch (better than Powell!)

5. Attend City fest and take advantage of all of the free food and gifts.

6. Listen and and try to hear the “Blue Lady” sing at Keen Johnson.

7. Get an article published in the Eastern Progress.

8. Attend at least one football game onboard the student fan bus.

9. Join at least one organization.

10. Check out the Giles art gallery on campus.

11. Take a dip in all three pools on campus.

12. Attend a concert or an event at the Center for the Arts.

13. Attend Rec the Ravine.

14. Make the Dean's list.

15. Find the hidden tunnel.

16. Complete the EKU challenge course.

17. Take a selfie with the Colonel.

18. Support your local restaurants! Drinks and tacos for cheap at Nuevo, best home style cooking around at Jacksons, largest pizza nearby at Apollo’s and one-of-a-kind hot dogs at Dales Hot Dog Stand!

19. Apply for a FREE study abroad trip.

20. Hike the nearby pinnacles in Berea.

21. Learn the EKU Fight song.

22. Get into the program of your choice.

23. Attend an Alternative Spring Break trip hosted by the university.

24. Participate in the Keene Hall Memorial Stair climb.

25. Step foot in every building on campus.

26. Rub Daniel Boone’s gold toe for good luck.

27. Eat at Café Burrier.

28. Spend a day laying in a hammock in the ravine.

29. Participate in the color run.

30. Drink with your professor (wait until after graduation for this one).

So how many of these have you accomplished? What do you have left to complete? What else would you add? I challenge you to complete this bucket list before you graduate; time flies, so enjoy it!

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
