  1. Mental health days are important, but don’t use them as an excuse to be lazy.
  2. Apply for every scholarship you can. You never know which ones you’ll get. You may be surprised.
  3. Spend time with your friends. Even if you don’t think you’ll see them once you graduate.
  4. You don’t need to label yourself. You are just you. That’s okay.
  5. If you take care of your mind, you will take care of your body.
  6. It’s okay to splurge sometimes.
  7. You can cut toxic people out of your life.
  8. Any job experience is helpful.
  9. If something doesn’t feel right, in any situation, it probably isn’t. Trust your instincts.
  10. Your opinion of yourself is more important than anyone else’s.
  11. Grades aren’t everything.
  12. Push yourself, but don’t break yourself.
  13. Hating something won’t make it go away. Do something about it.
  14. You don’t have to get along with everyone.
  15. You’re probably not the best at anything, and that’s okay.
  16. It’s never too late to fix a friendship. They might be waiting for you to try.
  17. If something makes you happy, then it isn’t stupid.
  18. Things have a way of working themselves out. Trust that they will.

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
