Eight Must Do Things When Going To Disney World

If you're like me and dream of going to Disney World all the time then this is the article for you. There are so many things to do and eat while spending time at the resort.

1. Visit Be Our Guest

This is probably my favorite restaurant to eat at when visiting Magic Kingdom. It is Beauty and the Beast themed. When my mom and I ate there we each got a sandwich and split it with each other. The service was fabulous! It didn't matter that we didn't have a reservation, but I do recommend having one just in case.

2. World Showcase

For all the people who would love to travel the world but do not have the funds to do so I recommend going to the World Showcase at Epcot. There are so many fun things to do there! If you visit during October you get to experience the food and wine festival, and in March the flower and garden festival. There are 11 countries represented, each with different things to do. Mexico is probably my favorite because of the Three Cabelleros ride.

3. Welcome and Opening of Magic Kingdom

Okay so if you want to get to this you have to leave at the butt crack of dawn. This is the welcoming into the park show. It is simply amazing! They have the dapper dancers come and do a show and Mickey and a few princesses as well. I loved it and it is definitely something that should not be missed.

4. Parades

So there are many parades to watch. My favorite is one of the afternoon parades at Magic Kingdom, I think it is named the festival of Fantasy parade, it has a dragon that breathes fire like Maleficent. Now if you were a fan of the Main Street Electrical Parade you are a bit out of lucky because that parade is no longer running at Disney World, but it is returning for a short run at Disneyland on January 20, 2017 for a short time before being retired.

5. Fastpasses

This is probably the best thing that you could ever do on your trip. Get them before you go. Get them at least a month ahead of time. This will guarantee you a spot in the fast pass line for rides like Snow white and the seven dwarves mine train and rocking roller coaster. These rides have fast passes that go in the blink of an eye. Get them as soon as possible it is so worth it!

6. Classic Disney rides

Do the classic rides. You know the ones, the tea cups, Prince charming's regal Carousel, Dumbo, jungle cruise, and of course space mountain and the people mover.

7. Dole Whip

The Dole Whip is probably the best thing to get on a hot day. It's a wonderful pineapple softserve that will cool you off. You can find it at Aloha Isle and the Polynesian.

8.The Tiki Room

Okay, so the last thing that you most certainly have to do is go to the Enchanted Tiki Room. It is a wonderful show near Aloha Isle. The birds sing words and the flowers croon...haha see what I did there? The show is fantastic and a good laugh for the whole family. It instantly became my mom and I's favorite thing to do when we come to the parks.

There are so many things to do when you go to the parks and these are just a few that you can do. Hope this helps a little when planning your next trip!

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
