Do you ever feel like you have to walk carefully around certain people? Taking one wrong step could be detrimental. This poem is about just that; walking cautiously to avoid a war. Sometimes it is simply easier to walk lightly than be confrontational with someone who does not care to see from your perspective.
Eggshells
They feel like below my soles.
Soft footsteps
One wrong stride.
A misleading grin.
Body language;
Tired yet tense.
Understandably so.
Harmony
Out of reach,
Out of touch,
Reality.
Headspace clouded
Retrospective delusion
A dreamy state
A fictional state.
Composure
Steady footsteps
Bypassing
These eggshells.
