It's an eerie beauty,
The day before the world dies.
Sky an unearthly red
As the sun shows it's early head.
Two deer roam the empty fields
As people watch from dirty windshields.
None of them know,
That end lies so near.
For them the world moves on
As they witness the last dawn,
Unknowing, uncaring
To the world left burning.
Only nature blinks its weary eyes,
Making its last few moments
Moments of eerie beauty.
