Ed Sheeran’s newest album, “Divide,” has been out for a while now, and I’ve been listening closely trying to find the best lyrics from the album. These lyrics can be used as Instagram captions, sent in letters to lovers, or recited from memory to impress your English teacher. Here is my list of Ed Sheeran’s Top 12 Best Lyrics, in no particular order, from “Divide.”

1. “Show me the locked doors, I’ll find another use for the key.” –Eraser

2. “I chased the picture-perfect life, I think they painted it wrong.” –Eraser

3. “I could live, I could die / hanging on the words you say.” –Dive

4. “I never knew you were the someone waiting for me.” –Perfect

5. “I found a love, to carry more than just my secrets, / to carry love, to carry children / of our own.” –Perfect

6. “But if he breaks your heart like lovers do, / know that I’ll be waiting here for you.” –Happier

7. “Love can change the world in a moment, / but what do I know?” –What Do I Know?

8. “She is the flint that sparks the lighter, / and the fuel that’ll hold the flame.” –Hearts Don’t Break Around Here

9. “When God takes you back, he’ll say, ‘Hallelujah, you’re home.’” –Supermarket Flowers

10. “Se enoima enko ye, / bibia be ye ye.” (“If things aren’t going well, everything will be alright.”) –Bibia Be Ye Ye

11. “I fell in love with the sparkle in the moonlight / reflected in your beautiful eyes.” –Barcelona

These lyrics are beautiful and inspiring in some way. Every time I hear them, they stand out to me, and I hope they do the same for you!

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
