I begin to fall,
sink in like a stone
slipping into water.
My slick body descends
until the last string of my jellyfish hair
is underneath and your mouth closed
the gaping hole above me.
I slid into your throat until it was ink black,
our bodies hum like waves and I let myself go,
drown to the bottom until I’ve seen every scale.
My toes curl into the bedrock
as a sandstorm lifts and churns
around me. I cannot stop the nerves
from rambling, but all that escapes
my lips are shiny bubbles
shooting up to catch a breath.
