Better yourself and the environment you live in by taking these small steps throughout your daily life.
1. Use a water delivery system for your dorm.

Save money and plastic by using the Nestle Pure Life Water System that gets delivered to your dorm. This water system delivers approximately three jugs per month, depending on what plan you sign up for. Having these jugs in your dorm save you from all the trips to the store.
2. Buy a reusable water bottle.

Get a reusable water bottle! I bought a Hydro Flask and I totally recommend it. You are not just being resourceful, you are also guaranteed to keep your ice cold water cold and your hot coffee warm. It also tastes better than a plastic water bottle.
3. Don't use disposable cups for coffee.
Cara Martinez
Bring a reusable coffee cup to Starbucks and get $.10 off your drink. The cheapest cup I found was around $2. You'll save money and the Earth all at the same time!
4. Invest in a laptop.
Save trees and your tired wrists by taking all of your notes for class on your laptop. By using less paper, you'll be saving more trees, and your backpack will be a lot lighter with just one laptop in it.
5. Stop using plastic bags at the grocery store.
To prevent the ocean from looking like this, use a reusable bag when you go to the store. The low-quality plastic bags tend to break anyway. And who wants to eat an apple that fell on the ground? Nobody.
