The perception we have about how we are viewed in the eyes of everyone else factors so strongly into the way we go about our lives. We live in this state of mind wrecked with anxiety about the opinions of a person we may never see again. We see ourselves as constantly being under the scrutiny of someone else, when in reality we are all thinking the same thing.
The last six months have been a time where I came to this same realization. And I encourage you to do the same. The freedom you find is like no other. The fear of judgement being lifted off of my chest was like learning to breathe freely. It's near to finding that child-like potential within your own mind. Children don't usually care who's around. They simply live in this essence of fearless existence. Strive for that wherever you are in life. When it comes down to the hard facts, even if someone has an opinion about the way you live your life, and there will always be that person, that opinion should have no more influence than you would let your Siri have over you.
Do what makes you happy. Your confidence and mental health must always be a priority to you. If going to the gym and lifting weights makes you love yourself a little more, do that, even if it intimidates you. Wear your makeup. Wear sweatpants. Embrace the fact that everyone is trying just like you to navigate life, and most of the time, they want to do it beside you, not looking down on you. Eat the whole pizza like no one is watching, and if they are? They are simply jealous of your talent.
