Picture this: You walk to your fridge and realize there is a scare amount of food.

There's lunch meat but only two slices. There's one egg, a rotting onion, a ridiculous amount of condiments, and a jar of applesauce from December. You don't get paid until Friday! It's Thursday night. Your stomach is rumbling, begging you to feed it. Just then you get an idea- Chick-Fil-A.

I used to love getting fast food as a kid. Know why? Because it was a special occasion! We just didn't eat it, and to be honest with you, I am not mad about that at all. When I was around 9, 2 people from our church owned and managed a Chick-Fil-A.

My dad was in and out of treatments for his cancer at the time, so this family would often bring us over trays of Chick-Fil-A so we didn't have to cook. I've never been more grateful in my life! I would come home from school, and there would be a tray of those delicious chicken nuggets. Whether you need a delicious breakfast biscuit or some grilled tenders for lunch, Chick-Fil-A is always calling you and now I am calling all Chick-Fil-A lovers!

1. You love the chicken nuggets

2. You have participated in dress like a cow day

3. You asked for a Chick-Fil-A gift card for Christmas

4. You have asked your date- Regular or Spicy?

5. THE LEMONADE

6. The service is amazing- no matter when, or where. Seriously. They are always kind.

7. Driving by Chick-Fil-A, but it's Sunday...

8. They have the cleanest bathrooms...with mouthwash!

9. The inside of the building is like Heaven

No, Chick-fil-A, it's my pleasure.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
