If you’re are anything like me, or anything like any college student trying to conserve money so that you can spend it on things like clothes and drinks and just the fun stuff, you are constantly making arduous decisions to help your financial situation. I have been there and live there and have developed a nice, comfy residence there. I know what it is like to have to pick and choose what is worthy to have my money spent on. So, if you have not made those hard decisions yet, I can show you some ways to cut some costs.
1. When eating out, maybe go with a water.
Ditch the two-dollar diet coke (I know Diet Coke is awesome) and go for the free water so those two dollars can be used later in the week towards that beautiful purse from Urban.
2. Don’t go see a movie every weekend.
I know it’s hard not to run to the movies every time an “Avengers” comes out, but please try and refrain from hitting the theatre too often. Plus, ticket prices are becoming wildly expensive; so just wait for the stream.
3. Try eating at home.
While this can be difficult because cooking is difficult, this is the sure fire way to conserve money. Plus it develops skills that we will probably need in addition to budgeting money.
4. Don’t have too much cash.
I know for me that when I have cash in my pocket I feel like a millionaire, so I spend all of it as soon as I can on anything I can get my hands on. To avoid this problem, just refrain from having too much cash on you at one time, so that you can continue having money in your account.
These are some tips that help me, or that I try to abide by so that they can help me. It is tough to make these decisions, but they are vital if you want a cool purse, or if you want to splurge while out with friends.
