Valentine’s Day is great and all, but especially if you’ve been with someone for a while, there no real need to put a bunch of effort into making the day special. So if you still want to do a little something for valentines day, but aren’t feeling the motivation, here are 11 ideas you can try out:

1. Watch a movie from Redbox while eating from your favorite takeout place

One of my personal favorite activities is watching a movie while eating food. I have the enjoyment of entertainment as well as the enjoyment of wonderfully unhealthy food. So grab your SO (significant other) and do it together.

2. Take a nap together

One of the other great joys in life is sleep-- so why not share it with someone you love?

3. Sit on the bed and take couples photos with funny Snapchat filters

Everyone can take a picture with the hearts filter-- but what about the tomato?

4. Play a board game

Yes, I know they’re called “bored” games for a reason, but try something classic, like Chutes and Ladders or Sorry.

5. Take a bath

This requires a larger bathtub and a familiarity with seeing each other naked, but nothing can go wrong with warm water, candles, and maybe a little scented bubble bath.

6. Make a blanket fort

We’re all still kids at heart.

7. Cuddle up in blankets while drinking hot chocolate and watching Netflix

Watching Netflix might be a regular activity for you two, but have you ever tried it with cozy blankets? And hot chocolate?

8. Make snow angels

Chances are there will be snow on the ground in February, so make the most of the chilly days.

9. Create a couple's Spotify playlist

It can be for when you’re in the car, just hanging out, or something a little more romantic. Pick songs and artists you both like and make your own playlist.

10. Do a craft together

Depending on how skilled you both are, a craft could range from cutting out paper snowflakes to scrapbooking to painting.

11. Have Valentine’s Day after Valentine's Day-- go to Target and buy all the candy on sale

This way you can still get your SO chocolate but only pay half the price.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
