The finals crunch before Spring Break often leaves students scrolling through article after article of picturesque vacation destinations that appear to be the perfect relaxation after finals. But this sort of vacation is not accessible to most students due to far locations, low finances, or simple laziness from burn out after finals. This Bucket List provides fun activities for the tired, lazy student that can't afford to be jetting half way around the world for a week.

1. See a movie

If all you want to do is lay in bed and watch Netflix, going out to a movie is not too big of a step up. And when people ask you what you did during spring break, at least, you’ll have one current flick to say that you saw (and prove that you actually left your house). If you’re feeling really adventurous, you can even venture to a drive-in movie.

2. Do an artsy DIY with friends to decorate your room or dorm

DIY projects come in a range of difficulties and overall costs. They are a fun way to try something new, without being too upset if it ends up a fail.

3. Take advantage of something local

Wherever you end up during spring break, try to take advantage of a local attraction, whether it be something as large as a local music festival or as small as a local ice or roller rink. It’s a fun, easy way to stay active during break without putting in too much effort for travel — and usually not expensive.

4. Read something not school related

Don’t let endless readings during the school term ruin your love for reading. And if you hate reading, try to overcome it by reading something fun that peaks your interest, even if it’s a magazine or an online article.

5. Learn something new and become an expert from the Internet

Look up Youtube crafting videos on something you’re interested in from crocheting to learning a favorite song on an instrument.

6. Go to the water

Go to a nearby body of water — anything from a community pool to a friend’s pool, a local lake, your own pool or a beach — if you’re close enough to one.

7. Grown up sleepover/playdate

Go with your friends to the park and play on the playground (when kids aren’t there; don’t be creepy). How long has it been since you’ve had friends sleep over? Have them over, or go to one of their houses, and binge-watch movies and eat snacks.

8. Be by yourself and take some time to rest

If you feel like just sleeping and eating ice cream, then do it. You won’t have the time to do this during the school year, so you might as well while you can.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
