Thankfully, Halloween is one of the only holidays that you can successfully procrastinate, as long as you can think of a costume. Here are a few last minute ideas for all of my fellow procrastinators.

1. "She Doesn't Even Go Here"

A blue hoodie, a pair of jeans, and a piece of paper. That's all.

2. Risky Business

The classic go-to Halloween costume, but undoubtedly the most comfortable. Borrow a men's dress shirt, find a pair of socks and sunglasses and you are ready to go!

3. Scarecrow

Pretty everyone has at least one flannel laying around, and if you don't, one of your friends does. Although the scarecrow costume would look best with a pair of overalls, you can always substitute them for a pair of jeans or denim shorts.

4. Rosie the Riveter

Feminists unite at least on Halloween! With this simple costume, all you need is a blue button up shirt, a pair of jeans and a bandana. Consider throwing your hair up in a bun and putting on red lipstick to complete the look.

5. Life... giving out lemons

When life gives you lemons... you make a Halloween costume. Write the word "LIFE" on a plain shirt and steal from lemons from your kitchen. Give them to anyone who asks what your costume is supposed to be.

6. Biker

A surprisingly easy look, most biker costumes only need a leather jacket and a pair of black or ripped jeans, or black ripped jeans. Wear darker eyeshadow and you could pass for being part of a biker gang.

7. Jake from State Farm

If you have a red polo and a pair of khakis, this costume is for you. This costume has not reached the point where it is painfully overdone, yet. Take advantage of the opportunity while you still have it.

8. Literally any animal with ears

Although animals may seem vastly overdone, it's not without good reason. The costume is super easy and allows for a ton of creative freedom. All you need is a pair of ears and the rest is up to you.

9. Wednesday Addams

By putting on a black dress and putting your hair in braids, you can become a part of everyone's favorite (or not) family.

10. Crazy Cat Lady

Roll out of bed and put on a robe, but a crazy cat lady never leaves her house without a cat!

11. 101 Dalmations

Use any kind of makeup or paint and put spots everywhere. Your face, your clothes, your hair, your arms, literally everywhere.

12. Men In Black

As long you got your suit and tie.... you can be a part of the Men and Black. Grab a couple of your favorite procrastinators and you can act as though you've all had this planned for a month.

13. Greek Goddess

Wrap yourself in a plain sheet and throw a couple flowers or a headband in your hair. While I don't know the steps to turn a sheet into a toga, I'm sure there are a million videos on YouTube telling you how to.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
