I'm sure everyone has goals. Goals are one thing that motivate people to get up every day and do what they do. Whether it's school, their job, athletics, anything. We are taught young that it is important to have short- and long-term goals. However, with these goals there will be hard times, such as stress and other things. Here are three things that can help you stay on the right path and limit stress and nervousness.
AWARENESS
You have to understand that your goal, whatever it may be, will take a toll. Whether it be mentally, physically, socially, etc., there will be hills and there will be valleys. At times you will need a support system, and that’s okay.
BALANCE
Balance is key. Don’t get caught up in one thing that you lose grasp of the other important things, and people in your life. Getting caught up too deep in your goals can also be a hindrance to your life. Make time for the people that support you along the way. Let them know about your progress. If they truly care about you, that will spark a happiness in their heart hearing about your success and accomplishments.
COMMITMENT
Make it a commitment. A promise that you won't quit. Stay married to the goal, or goals. Even when they are completed, reminisce. Realize that YOU did it, that you did what you had to do to get where you are. Stay grounded. Stay humble, my friends.
