One of my favorite ways to how others that I love is by creating a unique gift for them. I hope you enjoy my ideas and presents I have given to others. I also have received some incredible presents, included as well.

1) "Open When..." Boxes

Before going to school long distance, I made my boyfriend a "Open When" box filled with little boxes that included letters and little gifts. For example, I would write "Open When You Are Sad" and put inside a long letter he could read and his favorite animal, a giraffe. People commonly make Open When Letters, but I loved the idea of adding little presents to each box. Simple things from the Dollar Store, like a beer mug, is perfect to jokingly create a "Open When You Are Going to Turn Up" Box with a silly note. Or you can go on Shutterfly and order a T-Shirt with an ugly selfie of you on it saying "My Girlfriend is Hot" for a good laugh, but be warned he will wear it. I did this for my boyfriend, and he has worn it on numerous occasions, sending me Snapchats of him walking around in public wearing the shirt. Be warned.

2) M&M Presents

My boyfriend got me the cutest six months gift! A clear container sent to me from the M&M store with M&M's our favorite color (yellow ones & green ones), some with our favorite animal on them (giraffes), and some with our faces on them and names! They were much too cute to eat. Also they are perfect for any other celebrations!

3) Picture Frame with Names

I am hugely into pictures and decor, as my boyfriend is aware. He ordered me a picture frame that spells out our names and pictures for me to put behind the lettering, from Personalization Mall. So precious! Currently, it hangs in my dorm room.

4) Canvas with Pictures

My friend gifted me an amazing birthday present, a canvas covered in pictures she had developed and pasted of us. It also included cute little quotes and sayings about being best friends! Perfect dorm room decor!

5) Etsy Canvas

I recently treated myself to the cutest canvas I found on Etsy reading "Donut Worry Be Happy" with a cute little donut on it, because I love anything donut related. There are tons of perfect canvas gifts on Etsy and pretty much anywhere if you search for them!

6) Clip Lights

These lights are my favorite room decor. My boyfriend surprised me with them for our six month anniversary and I think they are the most amazing since sliced bread. I love hanging my pictures on them and showing off how incredible my friends, family and boyfriend are. Great dorm room decor!

7) Lava Lamp

I LOVE MY LAVA LAMP! (Another boyfriend gift- ha ha) It makes your dorm room LIT. I had always wanted one and my boyfriend told me I wasn't allowed to get one for my dorm room and mailed me one. It's such a cool gift! Comes in all colors and designs.

8) Deck of Cards (52 weeks in a year, 52 reasons why you love someone)

I did this to celebrate one year anniversary with my boyfriend! Fifty-two weeks in a year, why not give fifty-two reasons why you love someone? Write on the back of each card a reason why you have fallen for them and gift away!

9) "100 Dates I want to Do With You"

This turned out so cute. Use some crayons and get crafty! The more unique the date, the more fun it is! Dancing at 2 am in the rain, milkshakes from Red Robin or sky diving! Get unique!

10) First Letter of Someone's Name With Pictures of the Two of You

For Christmas, I made my closest friend letters with pictures of us on it that they could hang in their dorm rooms! Great gift for any holiday.

11) Candy Gift

Perfect gift for a male! An easy, cheap(ish) gift! I spent $25 dollars at the Dollar Tree getting candy I could make cute puns too! Great Valentine's Day gift for friends, loved ones, family and children!

12) Shoes

"Ever Since You Walked Into My Life, I Have Fallen For You/Known You Would Be My Best Friend." I did this gift for my boyfriend for our one year anniversary, I wanted to give him something he could use and that would remind him of our amazing year together. The shoes don't have to be super expensive!!

13) Giant Stuffed Animal

Freshman year, I used to always tell my mom how much I would love to get a giant stuffed animal and how I would jealous of all the girls in my high school receiving them from their boyfriend while I was very single. My mom and her best friend ended up surprising me with a giant panda bear in my room when I came home from school one day. Best day ever!

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
