Quarantine got you feeling tired and unproductive? Me too, and whenever I need motivation to get some work done, I always take a trip to one of our local coffee shops.
Since everyone is still mostly staying inside though, here is one of my favorite at-home coffee recipes, that also happens to be really budget friendly! I've been making this at home for about two years now, and I haven't found anything better without an espresso machine.
1. In a mason jar (or whatever glass) add a spoonful of brown sugar.
2. Pour cold brew or cold brew concentrate until it fills half of your glass.
Keep in mind that if you use a concentrate, it will be much stronger so adjust as needed. My favorite brands are Lucky Jack, Stumptown, and Chameleon, but there are tons of different cold brews on the market which are just as delicious. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative, Stok is also a good option.
3. Stir the brown sugar as much as you can until it dissolves into the cold brew.
4. Fill the rest of your glass with a milk of your choice.
I prefer oat milk, but whatever milk you choose is fine.
5. Add ice.
And there you have it! A simple cold brew drink that is extremely energizing and will curb your cafe cravings. Cheers to caffeine!
