Like so many other kids, I grew up dying Easter eggs every year. It was a tradition I always looked forward to and enjoyed. I would pester my family to do it with me and spent way too long trying to decide which kit to buy at the store. Most years, the activity went fairly smoothly. We would dye the eggs, let the dry, and that would be the end of it. However, one year my sister and I decided to have an Easter egg hunt, and we hid them from each other, each taking special care to find the best spot. When we were done, we searched for the eggs and found them after some time.....

Except for one.

We spent hours looking high and low, eventually being forced to give up, determining that we would come across or at least smell it later, and we did.....about ten years later.

The egg was found by our grandmother while cleaning the house one day. It was still intact, didn't smell, and is now just a funny memory.

Whether or not you're going to hide them (and I hope you find them all if you do), dying eggs the same way year after year can be repetitive. Spice up your tradition with these fun ways to decorate your eggs!

1. Use a Sharpie

2. Apply Temporary Tattoos

3. Use Stickers

4. Paint Them; Use Watercolor or Regular Paints

5. Melt Crayons with a Blow Dryer

6. Make Faces with Google Eyes

7. Make Creatures; Use Pom Poms, Twist Wires, and Felt

8. Spray Paint Them

9. Use Paint Pens for Mess-Free Fun

10. Use Stencils

11. Glue Origami Designs on them

12. Create a Mod Podge Design

13. Use Glue and Glitter

14. Use String/Twine for Designs

15. Glue Flowers (real or fake)

16. Use Fabric Pattern Pieces

17. Apply Feathers; real or fake, many or one

18. Create Chalk Designs (Use Chalkboard Paint then Draw Designs)

19. Wrap them in Lace

20. Create Lace Stencils

21. Keep Them Plain and Glue Figurines on them

22. Use Fake Eggs and Switch the Tops

23. Glue Tissue Paper; Create Designs by Wrinkling and Overlapping

24. Use Duct/Washi Tape

25. Create a Whipped Cream and Food Coloring Dye (Google It)

26. Make Kool-Aid Dye

27. Make Hot Glue Designs

Of course, you can always just buy a kit, too, or just leave them plain. (I was definitely always known to eat a few before they were colored). There are tons of cool sets available, and they're all fairly cheap! However, if you want to try something new, gather some items around your house and get creative! After all, there's really no right or wrong way to decorate an egg. All that matters is you have fun!

... Just make sure not to lose them in the process.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
