5. Peeps.
Peeps are only relevant this time of year. And, honestly, what could be better than cute little marshmallow chicks and bunnies? Anything. Literally anything else (although they are fun to microwave).
4. Jelly beans.
Jelly beans are a signature layer of the Easter basket, and they have been an Easter staple for years. The Jelly Belly and starburst ones are the highest quality, but beware, the one's that look like this kind of taste like vomit.
3. Chocolate bunnies.
Everyone buys these, but does anyone actually eat them? I'm almost positive there is one in our freezer leftover from last Easter. Also, they are just creepy looking.
2. Cadbury Creme Eggs.
Also known as the reason for the season. I'm kidding, but only kind of. Creme eggs are the bane of my existence and I thank the Good Lord every day that they are only 99 cents.
1. Reese's Peanut Butter Egg
I really can't explain it, but Reese's in egg form is 100 times better than a plain old Reese's cup. This strange phenomena also applies to Reese's Christmas Trees. This is, hands down, the best part of my Easter basket year after year.
Honorable mentions
Bunny corn: Pastel candy corn is just fun and cute albeit a bit of a snub to Halloween.
Mini robin egg Whoppers: Seriously, when was the last time you had a Whopper? These are a perfect way to get your yearly fix.
M&Ms: This candy just never gets old, and they look great in pastels.
