Blood red skies over mangled trees
Noxious gases polluting the breeze
There are no more flowers
There are no more bees
Surely this outcome could've been foreseen
But money and greed infiltrated the minds
Of those who swore to protect mankind
To protect the interests of future generations
To leave their great grandkids a better situation
But those at the top are not solely to blame
For billions of people had voices to change
Liberal and conservative, labels and names
Divide and distract, leaving everyone lame
All are to blame for their planets demise
All could've banded to stop it in time
Those who try will only be recalled
If they save Mother Earth from this tremendous fall
So if you are reading this 'neath a blue sky
Or out in a field full of Baby Blue Eyes
Appreciate the flowers
Give thanks for the bees
Stand up for your Earth in her time of need
