Eagles Fans Are The Worst

It takes courage to face the angry mob.

Eagles Fans Are The Worst
Inside the Star

The Cowboys and Eagles rivalry dates back longer than I have been alive. Most likely since their first meeting in 1960. We hate them, they hate us. Personally, I only hate the Patriots. But I was born and raised in south Jersey. Why does me being 25 minutes away from Philly mean that I automatically should be an Eagles fan?

No. I did not pick the Cowboys due to the pretty star. I picked them because my grandmom was a die-hard fan and that's what I grew up around. I fell in love with the sport because of them. I get it though. The Eagles are south Jersey's "home team." Yet, last time I checked, Philadelphia was in Pennsylvania, not New Jersey.

Philly fans realize this, you're rough. All sports fans have fans like you. It comes with passion, and I respect that. I recently saw an image of an Eagles fan at the draft taking a crap in the Cowboys mannequin. Classy. So much for the city of Brotherly Llove. I have witnessed grown men make girls cry because she was wearing a Cowboys jersey. We all have our bad seeds when it comes to fans. However, Eagles fans are the only ones I have seen with a complete love/hate relationship. Most Cowboys fans are there with pride whether they rise or fall. We don't swear we are done every other game.

Every argument regarding how we could like a rival team comes down to our Super Bowl wins being irrelevant even though you bring up pre-Super Bowl wins. If you actually had one they sure as hell would matter for your argument. You can't tell us not to bring it up because you haven't won a Super Bowl. Green does represent envy though. I don't care about the lack of playoff wins we have had in recent years. We went to the Super Bowl eight times and won five. You went twice and lost both.

Unless you have thick skin it is hard being a fan of a rival team. It takes courage to face the mob with pitchforks. Half mess with rival fans in a joking matter. The other half take it out of context. Like we are personally hurting them in some way. Maybe they need a safe place or maybe they need to remove the sand from their vagina.

You chose to represent your home team and I respect that. So respect that we chose to stay loyal to our team even if we never lived near where they play. Respect our reasons for being a fan, unless some one picked them based on colors. We may be a fan of a rival team but at least we aren't band wagon fans. We should all agree that they are the worst.

Part 2 coming soon.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
