When most people think of Dutch Bros, they think of broistas making drinks while playing loud and upbeat music. But there is so much more to Dutch than just that, there are so many things everyone should know about this company so they can understand what Dutch is all about.

Let me start by saying that I am where I am and I am who I am in my life right now because of Dutch. When I got hired, I thought I would just be making coffee and talking to people (which I was beyond excited for), but after I got done with training and was finally in my stand working for the company, I learned very quickly that it is so much more than that. Before even a month went by, I absolutely fell in love with everything about this company.

Here are just a few of the many things I think everyone should know about Dutch Bros Coffee:

1. Dutch is not just about making coffee and money.

Dutch is all about the community, giving back, and spreading the Dutch Luv. As a company, we love giving back to our community and have three main "give back" days every year (Drink One for Dane, Buck 4 Kids, and Dutch Luv Day) along with many different local "give back" days throughout the year as well. Our most recent "give back" day was Dutch Luv Day on February 14, and all of our stands together raised over 1.6 million pounds of food for local families. (Huge shout out to the Dutch Nation for that, by the way!)

2. Everything we do is for our customers, or "custies".

Our custies are the reason we do what we do and why we love every second of it. Without them, we wouldn't be here. Dutch definitely wouldn't be around if it weren't for our amazing custies. That is why we do so many things for our custies, like a free drink if it's your first time at Dutch, free birthday drinks (because what would be a better way to celebrate than with some free Dutch?!), and if a custie is having a bad day, we're going to do everything we can to hook that person up and make their day better!

3. We genuinely care about every conversation and want to talk to you.

We love being able to talk to our custies about anything and everything they feel like talking to us about at the window. We consider ourselves to be so lucky to be able to get to know and have a conversation with every person that comes to Dutch. We love talking to you and want you to know that when you pull up to the window, you are our number one priority, and we want to make your experience (in just those few minutes) the best we can.

I just wanted to finish by saying that my crew has became my family and Dutch has brought me the best friends I could ask for. If it weren't for this company, I'm not sure where I would be in life, because when it feels like nothing is going right in my life, I know that I can always count on my Dutch family to be there for me through it all. I am so thankful to be a part of such an amazing company!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
