If you're from Durham, North Carolina or are in the area I highly recommend checking out these new restaurants and drinking establishments that have recently popped up in the area. They are amazing. These are just a handful of them and they are must-tries.

1. M Sushi

Great sushi with "New-York City" vibe, located in the heart of downtown Durham and in the bottom of a building, is small yet has a sleek and fancy interior which makes you feel like you just walked off the small streets of Durham and into the wild night life of a large city. Not only that but the menu and sushi are both out of this world good.

2. Ponysaurus Brewing Company

Looking for an exciting night life outdoors with excellent beer. Well check out Ponysaurus. Ponysaurus has vast outdoor seating and is great for large crowds or a fun night out on the town. The beer is locally brewed and they even have a taproom. Its perfect for a night that you are itching to find a scene as well as amazing beer. Also, if you're lucky there might be a food truck parked outside on their lawn. Win win situation.

3. Luckys Delicatessen

A small shop that idealizes the word "deli" which is brand new and serves only the best delicatessen and classic style sandwiches.

4. Picnic

Try Durham's finest Southern BBQ, its a perfect place to relax and enjoy the comforting food that the South has to offer. They also have craft beers and other fun drinks.

5. Mother & Sons

Mother & Sons Trattoria is a spunky new Italian restaurant in the hearth of downtown. Located right next to the brand new Lucky's restaurant. You can go from one restaurant to the next and are also owned by the same people, so if you like one restaurant you're bound to like the other. Mother & Sons serves traditional handmade pasta and other delicious Italian goods. Who doesn't love pasta?

6. Black Twig Cider House

A cider-fouced restaurant that has over 80 different ciders on tap or in bottles, the largest variety in the whole Southeast. Check out this unique restaurant and try some of the best cider there is to offer.

7. Happy + Hale

A simple quick counter serve restaurant that features salads, smoothies and juices that are all centered around the idea of having a healthy lifestyle and healthy eating habits. Its both quick, healthy and delicious.

I highly recommend checking out all of these eating and drinking establishments. Durham is growing everyday and so is the flavor in the city, go get yourself a drink and a bite to eat from one of these new places and enjoy Bull City livin'.
