British DJ/producer Duke Dumont is bringing on some serious 90s style house music goodness on his 2017 “Real Life” single. Also known as Adam George Dymant, the EDM phenom has been pumping out music since the earlier 2010s with remixes going back even further. The Englishman even got a Best Dance Recording nod for the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.
On “Real Life," Duke Dumont pairs up with fellow Englishmen and electronica group, Gorgon City, plus EDM duo Naations, for some uplifting and spirited house music sounds full of might. The iconic “Show Me Love” house anthem by Robin S certainly comes to mind in this regard. And with it’s catchy and very relatable “love you in real life” chorus to boot, the track should find it’s way around fall’s dance music scene.
“Real Life” certainly comes correct and strong on the 2017 house music landscape. It strikes that right balance where an EDM track can be a great pop song and - interestingly at the same time - be the sound of the underground.
