I've had bad skin for as long as I can remember. Coming to college, my acne only got worse. With the excess of junk food and stress, those pesky pimples started to pop up. Not to mention, sticking to a routine was even harder. It wasn't until I looked in a mirror that I realized the only way my skin would clear up was if I was willing to put the effort in. I began to eat healthier and created an easy and affordable skin routine.

My skin was super dry so I began with products that helped hydrate my skin. I started to use the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Gel ($6.79, Target). Daily topical application of serums containing about 0.1% Hyaluronic acid can lead to a significant improvement in skin hydration and elasticity. Within the first few times of using this product, I noticed my skin a lot more plump and hydrated.

My friends recommended I try the YesTo masks. They're formulated to assist in cleaning up and reducing the severity of acne by evening out the skin. I used the Yes to Tomatoes Acne-Fighting Paper Mask ($2.39 Target). I had a bit of acne and redness of my cheeks so I wanted to see if this mask could help. When I woke up the next morning, my acne was visibly less red. After three days, my acne around my cheeks had significantly reduced and some had even vanished. I would totally recommend this mask to anyone.

The last product I absolutely loved was Thayers Witch Hazel Alcohol-Free Toner-Rose Petal ($8.99 Target). Rose-petal water is a great antioxidant for your skin. It helps reduce free radicals in the skin which attribute towards aging, Rose also acts as an antibacterial. It deep cleans your pores as well as tightening them. I saw a lot of YouTubers rave about it and was curious if I'd have the same results. It totally lives up to its hype. I've been using this toner for about every day for 2 months as an integral part in my skincare routine and I've seen such a difference. It made my pores appear smaller and helped reduce my dark spots while also moisturizing my skin. The formula wasn't irritating or harsh on my skin. As someone who has very sensitive skin, I would suggest others to give this product a try.

From these three products, I've seen a drastic difference in my skin. Not only has my acne reduced but my confidence has skyrocketed. College can be stressful but having a skin routine helped me feel a bit more organized during my chaotic schedule.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
