I have been selling makeup for about a year now, and ever since then I have been looking for new makeup to try and compare. I have noticed that drugstore makeup has stepped there game up from the blue eye shadow and transparent glitter lip balm from when I was a child. Some of my favorite drugstore makeup products I have stumbled across are listed below with my personal reviews.
Pur cosmetics: Blush - Marble Pink Powder
Kohls - $26
This is my first blush purchase in probably seven years. The last blush product I used lasted almost forever, which probably isn't good because I am sure makeup expires, but nothing compared to my old blush until a woman at the makeup counter at Kohls showed me this beauty. The product I used before was from Flirt and since I have had it forever, Kohls didn't carry it anymore. When I was describing the color to the woman at Kohls she led me to this marble pink and I pretty much fell in love at first sight when she applied some on me. Its so subtle and gives just a hit of color that makes it look natural, which is why I fell in love. The lady told me that there is highlight and blush mixed together which is why its marbled, and you can tell when you apply it that there is a subtle shine to it. She told me it would last me a year, but considering my last one lasted seven, I'm excited to see how long this will last me, but I think I will buy more of this, so I can have this color forever. This is more on the expensive side, but it was worth every penny.
Revlon Eyelash Curler
Less than $5
I stumbled upon this bad boy a couple years ago, and I haven't used anything else since. It is comfortable in my hand and it works really well for me. I never curl my lashes after I apply my mascara so its stays clean, but it does come with an extra red strip for the curler incase you would need a new clean one.
BH Cosmetics - Eyeshadow Palette - Sixth Edition
BH Cosmetics - $16
Alright this was my first ever purchase of an eyeshadow palette and I just couldn't resist because of how pretty it is and how many colors you get for such a cheap price. I got mine on black Friday among other products from BH but this is my go to palette that I use every day. There are 120 colors and they are well pigmented and last all day. I have looked on the website and they are still cheap to get, originally they are $30 and they are currently $16, and I would highly recommend getting this palette. There is also another color palette to choose from as well but I just loved this one. These colors are buildable and work well with other eye products.
L'Oréal Voluminous Mascara and Primer
Target - $10 each
I got both of these at target on black Friday and they were five dollars a piece, but I know Walmart sells them together for $20 but you can get them separate if you just wanted the mascara and not the primer, but on a regular they are each $10. I am obsessed with these products, I follow makeup accounts on Instagram and one that I watch a lot is @farahdhukai she is a beauty DIY youtuber that uses at home products to enhance or make at home remedies that help your skin and hair and she uses this mascara in a lot of her videos and I decided to give it a try. I sell mascara that makes your eye lashes look longer and fuller and although this doesn't make my eye lashes look fuller they do enhance the length a lot. The makeup I sell is more on the pricey side, but its because it is such a great quality. But when I am in between makeup I like to buy that is inexpensive and I've hit the gold with these products. Applying the white mascara first is the primer to the regular mascara that you use to finish the look. Its a two step process but I can't get over the length of my lashes when I use these.
*The stores I purchased these items from are not the only stores that carry them, check your local drugstores, and I know Amazon carries most if not all of these products and Amazon is usually a few dollars cheaper to get any of these items that you are curious in trying.
