Sometimes You Have To Drop Everything And Adventure

It is important not to get too tied down to a schedule, and always leave room for adventure.

College is stressful. Life is stressful. Sometimes you need a mental break, and it is important to remember to take them. This past week there was one day that was sunny, warm and beautiful. I was stressed and everyone around me was out in the sun. I realized that it was time for a break. I dragged my roommate with me and we escaped campus and our problems for a little while and went to the coast. We spent a while sitting on the rocks and watching the tide. Sitting on those rocks and watching the water, feeling the sun on my face, was exactly what I needed. The cold winter months have a strong tendency to suck all of the energy out of me, but this escape really helped me to see the light at the end of the tunnel that spring will be here soon enough.

Coming back to campus after my escape, I felt much less stressed and much more refreshed. It was what I needed to help me make it through the rest of the week. I think it is important not to get tied down to too much of a schedule, and to always have some room for adventure. Adventures are what opens us up to new experiences, new places and new memories. They help us to escape the usual patterns of our days. They help us relieve our stress. Mental breaks keep us sane and keep us going when we are most stressed. Don't forget to leave some time for mental breaks and adventure, they will save you from your stress and help you to escape for a little while.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
