How many times in your lifetime have you heard your parental guardian ask you if you have had any water?

What about when you go to the doctor and the first thing they wanted to know is if you are hydrated?

How about all those crazy trends on Pinterest that mention drinking a ton of water?

Notice anything?

There’s a reason people are constantly asking about water, drinking water, or suggesting you have water. Because it is important and literally helps you survive.

But guess what? Water is more than just this cool substance that fuels your body. It has all these awesome benefits.

  1. It can make your skin look brighter and clearer. It actually can help resolve mild cases of acne.
  2. It can help you lose weight. When you drink a ton of water (a healthy amount) it helps to flush toxins from your body which in turn helps you lose weight. You also pee a lot.
  3. It can help your skin retain elasticity. If you are currently trying to lose weight or have lost weight, drinking enough water is really important because it can help with your skins stretchiness.
  4. It helps your immune system. When you drink the adequate amount of water, it actually boosts your immune system and helps you fight of bacteria.
  5. It can help with headaches! If you have a massive headache, drink some water.
  6. It gives you more energy. If you’re ever tired and not feeling like getting through your day, just keep drinking water.
  7. It’s good for you.

Okay, so is the most life changing article that’s every been written in the history of the internet? Probably not. But it is important to remember that water is awesome and super important to drink. It might not always be fun to lug around a water bottle but it does and will help you feel like your best self.

So remember, when in doubt, turn on the spout. Or something far less cheesy than that and just drink some water from your bottle.
