The alarm blares; time to leave the comforts of my bed.
“Drink water,” my subconscious suggests.
"Coffee can make this better."
Five cups later:
"Gods, I’m so lethargic."
“Drink water”, my subconscious alerts.
"That pizza has vegetables on it! Look at all of the healthy choices I’m making."
“Drink water?” my subconscious asks.
Work in the morning, school in the afternoon, work at night.
“Drink water,” my subconscious croaks.
Wine at midnight to keep the restless thoughts at bay.
“Drink water! We're almost two-thirds water! You're gonna kill us.” My subconscious is now beating at the inside of my skull.
“Maybe I should sleep.”
My subconscious is beating with its futile fists, “You’re missing the point, but you never sleep,so go for it.”
