Amazing live music is never far away when you live in Miami. While this city certainly delivers when it comes to the live music scene, now you can take a short ferry ride to Bimini and find some there as well.
Last weekend, Bimini hosted The Driftwood Beach Festival, which featured a pro volleyball tournament as well as some amazing beach-side musical performances.
Beach volleyball was one of the main events and was attended by professional athletes from The National Volleyball League where they had exhibitions and clinics for anyone attending the festival.
The best part of the festival for me was the live music I got to enjoy right on the beach. With the ocean breeze in full effect, the night was made better with performances from Javier García and Clement Aubrey & the Reggae All-stars.
Javier García, latin singer of the popular songs, Tranquila and A Casa, kicked off the night with his beautiful voice and perfect beach side music.
Clement Aubrey & the Reggae All-stars closed the night with their amazing reggae/ lovers-rock style of music. Clement Aubrey, who has been sharing his music around the Caribbean since he was a young boy, was joined by Peter Williamson, Darrell “Chops” Randall (drummer from the Wailers), John Malack & John Reid (saxophonist and trumpeter from KC & the Sunshine Band), and “Two Locks” Peter Lewis (bassist from Bushman and Lady Saw).
Not only did the Driftwood Beach Festival give back with its amazing music and fun events, but a portion of the event’s profits will be donated to Global Empowerment Mission to bring aid to those affected by Hurricanes Irma and Maria.Resorts World Bimini is having musical performances and events all the time so if you live in Miami, or really anywhere, check out the events page of their website: https://www.rwbimini.com/things-to-do/events
