Haters might tell you that dresses are the worst thing that has ever been invented. They might say that they are uncomfortable and only for certain times. Some may say that that they were only made for one type of person. If someone tells you this, do not believe them. Dresses are your best friend. No lie. Forget diamonds, or dogs. In actuality, it's a dress that will be there to make you feel #flawless in every aspect. Here are 11 reasons why.

1.You look like you are trying when you are not

When you got it, flaunt it. Even if you woke up late and threw on the first thing on your floor that just so happened to be a dress...Who cares!

And when people tell you that you look cute that day, own it and tell them that you put a lot of effort into the look even when we both know that it isn't true.

2. There is one for every occasion

Whether you are going to the Grammys or just going to school, a dress is never an inappropriate attire.

3. You can avoid tight pants for one more day

Everyone knows that pants suck and they sometimes make you feel a little larger than you are. Know your limits and don't force yourself into something unflattering. Know when it is time to call it quits and throw on a flowy dress.

Flowy=Freedom!

4. They are appropriate all year long

Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall. They are appropriate for every season.

You can wear them anytime.

5. They even make some long enough that you don't even have to shave your legs

Don't worry, for all of those people out there who would rather die than shave their legs, there is a solution for you.

Long dresses have a purpose in this world and that is to help you look good even when you are a hairy beast.

There is no reason to avoid dresses because of hairy legs.

6. It is only one layer of clothing

Dresses may be the easiest clothing piece that was ever created in this world.

Rather than spending hours finding the right top and pants that compliment each other, how about you just put on ONE dress that you don't have to worry about matching.

7. They make them for every body type

You know that feeling when you find a dress that makes you look like a stunna and you feel like it was made for you?! Same.

8. Who says you even have to wear them out in public?

The best medicine to feeling better when you are not on your A-game is putting on your favorite dress and pigging out in the privacy of your own home.

It's a three in one bargain, eating, feeling pretty and being at home away from all judgements.

That is everyone's dream!

9. They may even hide things you are self-conscious about

If you skipped the gym this season and you still want to look 10/10, a dress can hide that dad bod you are avoiding.

10. You can wear them to bed!!

Hello, this isn't a new thing! People did it way before our time, let's bring it back!

We can even call it a vintage fashion trend if that helps the case because we all know that OLD-fashioned is the NEW fashion.

11. They make you feel pretty even when you look like you died 3 days ago

Even on your worst days, when you hate the world, you might even feel like you fooled everyone into thinking that you have your life together by being DRESSed to impress.

Wear the dress.

Fake it till you make it.

If you don't believe me, put on a dress and try it yourself!

You're welcome.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
