Fashion trends are constantly changing and evolving, making it hard to decide which style and design best suits you and your personality. Fashion is not only about fabrics, colors, and trends. It's also about dressing in a way that makes you confident in yourself. Here are five easy ways to keep up with the latest trends while also staying true to yourself.

Stick to what makes you feel comfortable.

Fashion is all about self-expression and finding the beauty within yourself; there is no rulebook telling you what you should or shouldn't wear. However, a new year brings forth countless articles and posts on what the "top trends" are and "why you should follow them." It is important to keep in mind that everyone's taste and style is not the same. Being confident and comfortable in what you're wearing is the only thing that matters; without those two things, there's no point in fashion!

Choose clothes for you.

Just because a specific trend is deemed a "must-have" doesn't mean you must have it! It is easy to become wrapped-up in what other people are doing, especially when what they're doing is popularized in the media. However, it is important to remember that everyone is unique and has their own way of expression. Just because your likes are different than others doesn't mean you're wrong for having them, it just means you have your own way of expressing yourself!

Accept your uniqueness.

Accepting your uniqueness can be hard when everyone around you seems like carbon copies. However, it's important to remember that it's okay to feel out-of-place and to embrace your differences. Just because your outfit stands out doesn't mean it's a "bad" outfit, it just means it's different from the rest. It can be exhausting trying to stay with the trends deemed to be the "best," so why not just dress how you want to be dressed in order to feel like the best version of yourself?

Embrace your body.

Body-confidence is something a lot of people deal with and affects people of all genders, races, cultures, and ages. It can be hard to accept your body when it doesn't fit inside the mold society has created, and even harder when certain fashion trends are only aimed at specific types of people. It is important to acknowledge that despite what society tells you concerning your body, you are beautiful and powerful. There is no other person in the entire world that has your body, so embrace it for all its got and own it!

Take risks.

Fashion has no limits–it's all about choosing ways to express yourself and feel confident. The outfit you wear doesn't concern anyone else and shouldn't be dictated by anyone else. Besides, it's you who's wearing it! Fashion is about breaking stereotypes and reaching new limits, not about pleasing everyone and anyone who comes into contact with you.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.
