It may or may not be too early to preview this event, but due to the magnitude of line-up and what it means to the scene, it is necessary to write about it. Once upon a time (2015), there was a creation of the Dreamstate brand from Insomniac. Yes, a dedicated brand to trance music from what some people may claim is the biggest electronic dance music company in the United States. From the claims that trance music was dead or dying to the the claims that the United States market was just too small to embrace the sub-genre, the introduction of the brand was necessary.
In fact, if you are new to my column here on The Odyssey, check out the previous previews and highlights of the brand. If you aren't you can refresh your memory at any time. The success of Dreamstate San Francisco, and the Quantum Valley stage at EDC Las Vegas should be proof enough that trance is alive and kicking. However, the Dreamstate team has out done themselves for what is deemed as "Trancegiving" by the fans who attend due to it occurring November 24-26 at the NOS Events Center.
The first announcement of GAIA on the line-up introduced enough excitement for the event, but the addition of remaining artists pretty much cemented the need to attend. Obviously, there are some choices you expected, but the addition of new and upcoming artists proves the scene will be just fine. Just look at the list below.
