Drake and Josh first aired in 2004, but 12 years later I still find myself thinking 'What would Drake and Josh do?'. Their crazy antics have helped me handle college life in ways that high school never prepared me for. So here's a list of great tips from Drake and Josh to help survive college.

1. Always take free food.

We're broke college students, we can rarely afford such luxuries like food. So if someone offers to buy/give you food, don't ever question it.

2. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

In college, there is a lot of information thrown at you all at once. And then there's a quiz the next day. So don't be afraid to ask questions, even if they are stupid.

3. Self-confidence is a must.

College is really just a test to see who can handle the most stress in their life. You have really got to believe yourself to get through all of the rough parts, especially finals week.

4. When you're finishing an essay, just repeat the same thing in different words.

When you have to meet the word count, it's really the only option. Your professor probably won't even notice.

5. Practice your presentations before giving them.

Don't become a nervous mess the day of the presentation. Practice really does make perfect...or at least less sweaty.

6. College is one big headache.

No matter how hard you try, something is always going to end up going wrong. Always have Advil on hand.

7. It's okay to make mistakes.

You are in college to learn, you're bound to make a few mistakes along the way. Don't freak out though, you will always find a way to get through, even if it takes some time.

8. It's important to have people you can look up to.

When you're feeling low, it's good to remember your idols and if they did it, then you can do.

9. Part-time jobs suck.

Paying for school is rough, and sometimes you just have to get a part-time job. It's never the most glamorous job in the world, but money is money.

10. You're an adult now, nobody tells you what to do.

Except sometimes you are going to need your mom's help because the real world is incredibly scary.

11. You're not going to like every professor you have.

Sites like Rate My Professor are great for finding the right professor for you, but they don't completely ensure that you will be happy in the class. Just make the most of the semester and don't let the professor get the best of you.

12. Family isn't always blood.

In college, family is whoever is there for you. College is tough, and you definitely need a strong support system.

So as you spend the rest of the semester struggling to get by, just think if Drake and Josh and hopefully everything will be okay.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.

The winters at Kent are brutal, and while the heated sidewalks and some great snow boots are always a help, there’s no chance you won’t bust it on the ice at least once in your four plus years at school.
