The NBA is the best sports league on planet earth, the action is fast, the scoring is high, and the personalities are one of the most interesting things about it. Dragon Ball Z is probably the most ubiquitous anime to ever exist and it's name probably bring certain images to your mind even if you aren't a huge anime fan. So why not combine the two for some reason?
Goku - LeBron
When you think of Dragon Ball Z you think Goku and the same goes for the NBA and LeBron. They are the gold standard in their respective mediums and whenever you begin to question if they're truly still at the top, they'll find a way to make you feel ridiculous for even asking.
Vegeta - Kevin Durant
If you ask many basketball fans Kevin Durant is currently one of the biggest villains in the NBA, so matching him up with Vegeta was the pretty simple. Plus his rivalry with LeBron is very reminiscent of Vegeta's rivalry with Goku, with him being the second best but never quite being able to surpass him for very long. This leads to the point where they're willing to do something extreme (Vegeta siding with Babidi to gain more power; Kevin Durant joining the Warriors to win a championship.) in order to stand on top of that mountain.
Androids 17 and 18 - Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson
When the androids in Dragon Ball Z are a deadly force to be reckoned with but they never seemed to be too pressed about world domination and the such, they just genuinely seemed to be having a good time. The same goes for the Splash Brothers, and really, who can blame them.
Cell - Joel Embiid
Joel Embiid and Cell are essentially the spitting image of each other, it was a long and grueling Process but now that it's complete, they're basically perfection. Helping the comparison more is that now that they're at the top of their game, they're cocky as hell, and can back up the trash-talk.
Trunks - James Harden
Trunks is many things, but if there's one word I'd use to describe him is efficient, and in the NBA, few are more efficient then the reigning MVP. When Harden has the ball he's either getting a bucket or getting to the line. And like Trunks, James Harden was outstanding with superstars like Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, but he was even better when he was forced to be on his own
Kid Buu - Russell Westbrook
Russell Westbrook plays with pure passion and pure energy, it's his greatest asset but also his greatest weakness. Which makes him a perfect parallel for Kid Buu.
Krillin, Tien, Yamcha - Dwayne Wade, Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony
Used to be able to keep up with LeBron/Goku but as time passes the gap widens and now these guys are washed.
This was a fun list to make, I hope you you enjoyed it. Thank you
