Congratulations! You survived another year of college! Summer is finally here and you're all settled in back at home... but now what? Follow this guide to make the most out of your summer.

1. DO make time to see friends from home that you lost touch with over the year.

2. DON'T forget about your friends from school.

It's always fun to plan to visit each other over the summer. If not, they're always a text or FaceTime call away!

3. DO try to get a summer job or internship.

Your future self will thank you for the experience and the extra cash to treat yo self during the year (like springing for guac at Chipotle once in a while).

4. DON'T forget that some alone time every now and then is good.

5. DO apply sunscreen when you go to the beach.

And don't forget to reapply said sunscreen (totally not speaking from experience here... jk I currently look like a lobster).

6. DON'T go to the beach empty-handed.

Make a beach playlist on Spotify to listen to. Bring a frisbee! Maybe even bring that book you bought months ago that you never had time to read on your own time during the school year. (Great beach read: Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling).

7. DO make time to be with your family.

As much as they don't want to admit it, they totally miss you when you're away at school (maybe just a little bit but that still counts!).

8. DON'T stay cooped up in your house all the time.

Get some friends together and explore a little bit. Try that new Cuban restaurant; take that late night visit to the beach!

9. DO catch up on all the Netflix you may not have been able to watch during the year.

Now's the time the binge watch The Office and any other series with a ridiculously large number of seasons.

10. My most important rule: DO SLEEP IN AS LATE AS YOU CAN WHENEVER POSSIBLE!

Gotta make up for all the hours of sleep you lost during the school year somehow!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
