Welcome to Dorm Room Desserts, the ~easy and cheap~ recipe guide for all of us broke, lazy college students out there! (Sometimes you just want something sweet and gooey, am I right?) Halloween is on Monday, so, of course, it has to be PUMPKIN EVERYTHING! This is RIDICULOUSLY easy, cheap, and super cute.
The ingredients:
- 1 box pumpkin cake mix
- 1 tub cream cheese frosting
- 1 bag chocolate chips (can be white or orange, if you're feeling festive!)
- Halloween sprinkles
Here's how simple it is:
Bake the cake according to instructions on the box. Once cool, crumble the cake with the tub of cream cheese frosting until the cake mixture is the comparable consistency of cookie dough. Roll into roughly tablespoon-sized balls, and place on a baking sheet. Put the sheet in the freezer until the cake balls are frozen. Melt the chocolate, being careful not to burn in, and dip the cake balls into the melted chocolate until sufficiently covered. Set back on the baking sheet, and sprinkle with some festive decorations. Refrigerate until the chocolate is set, and enjoy!
Thank the food gods for this deliciousness, and enjoy!
