If you have been following my previous articles, I am happy to let you know that this will be my last article pertaining to the election.

That's because the fateful day is almost upon us. On November 8th, Americans will head to the polls to pick their poison...I mean candidate to become the supreme dictator of the United States. You know what I meant to say.

Soon, political analysis about each candidate will turn into discussions about the election results and what to brace for during the upcoming presidency. For many Americans, this will either mark victory or defeat for their political party, for others, this will be a bittersweet relief. For the months leading into the election, we have been bombarded with political ads from each candidate and levels of pandering never before seen in a presidential election. After November 8th, we will finally get a break from all the nonstop ads, endless news coverage and ridiculous commentary from reporters, candidates, and voters alike. Well, I don't think this will be the end of the ridiculous comments, especially if Trump doesn't (hopefully) get elected.

I have to say that seeing this election come to a close is a bittersweet feeling. I'll look forward to no longer have to see 24/7 coverage of the election for the next four years, but I will also miss the many entertaining moments this election had to offer. We have never seen an election quite like this, and we hopefully won't have to see one like this again, unless Kanye West still decides to run in 2020. But if Kanye does run and win in 2020, that is sure to promise entertainment and a pair of Yeezys for everyone.

Most importantly, throughout this election, we have learned things about our fellow Americans and the country we live in. We learned that unfortunately, racism and bigotry is still rampant in our society, we learned to watch which emails we delete and we learned to always turn in our tax returns.

To me, the best lesson we all can learn from this experience is that anything is possible. I mean, who would have ever thought that the next president of the United States could either be a woman or a guy that has little to no political experience at all? Considering the fact that Donald Trump could very well be the next president should make you both optimistic about your chances of running for president and extremely terrified at the fact that he will have control of the launch codes.

But in the end, we as Americans have a huge decision to make come November 8th. Either decision will make history. Just remember: don't let others sway you; whoever your choice is, is the right choice for you.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
