Unless you've been living under a rock for the past year, you might have noticed that there is an election going on. This excruciating and volatile election cycle will end on November 8, and a horrible nightmare will finally be over, or it will have just begun. Regardless of who wins, this country has never felt more divided and plagued by dangerously incendiary racist and sexist rhetoric.
Hillary Clinton is a politician, she is not perfect but she is by far the most qualified candidate to run for president, ever (i.e. First Lady of Arkansas, First Lady of the U.S.A, Senator of New York, and Secretary of State). She has spent the past 30 years fiercely working to improve the lives of families across the United States.
Donald Trump, on the other hand, is a rich and entitled "businessman" (I use the term loosely since he has declared bankruptcy SIX times) who has spent the last 30 years hosting the Celebrity Apprentice, scamming people through his fake university, and oh yeah, grabbing women by the pussy. His campaign is based on fear-mongering and hateful statements aimed to create strife and division. To all the Republicans who are conflicted on whether or not to support their candidate, do you really want to vote for someone who was endorsed by the KKK?! Don't be on the wrong side of history! Also, allow me to remind you that both President George H.W. Bush and President George W. Bush are voting for Hillary.
What Donald Trump says at his rallies and on those Access Hollywood tapes reveal his true character and is symbolic of what he stands for. However, his words are not symbolic of what America stands for. That is why it is crucial to vote for the one candidate (Hillary Rodham Clinton) who will work tirelessly to create a more equal and a more prosperous country for EVERY American, not just the wealthy, heterosexual, cis, white men of the country.
So many men and women have died for your right to vote! This is not an election to be complacent and watch from the sidelines. Democracy requires active participation. Do not listen to those who say your vote will not make a difference, the 2000 election proves how vital each and every vote is. This election is the most crucial election in our history. Fifty years from now, your children and your grandchildren will ask you who you voted for. Do not say, "I didn't vote :/". Please, don't be that person.
