Keep Manhattan just give me that country side.

I grew up in a small, rural county and I still live here almost 20 years later. I also chose to go to a college that is in a rural area. It has its ups and downs, but at the end of the day, I wouldn't mind living in a similar place when I'm older. Don't get me wrong, the city is great. I recently visited New York City for the first time and loved every minute of it, but I just didn't see myself living there when I'm older. I would miss small town living and here's why:

1. People talk.

In a small town, word travels fast whether you like it or not. I personally like to be in the know of things.

2. You see someone you know just about anywhere you go.

Sure, it may not always be someone you want to see, but I would miss seeing the familiar faces all the time.

3. The space is endless.

I love walking through the city and seeing the sites, but I also see that the houses are clustered together a lot. I enjoy having a large yard where I have the space to grow a garden, play with my dog, or throw a backyard BBQ.

4. Parking is easier.

Street parking signs? What are those? There are no confusing parking signs that limit how long and what times you can park somewhere. Park just about anywhere you like and it's free too!

5. It's quieter.

The hustle and bustle of the city is fine for the day time, but when it comes time to sleep I don't want to hear cars honking outside my window at 3 a.m.

6. No light pollution

Stargazing has never looked better.

7. No traffic... unless there is a tractor.

Driving is easier and less stressful when you can travel 2 miles in 5 minutes instead of 20 minutes.

8. The community.

The community of a small town is unreal. There is constantly a new fundraiser for a family or someone in need, a football game on a Friday night is attended by all, and you go to school with the same people from Kindergarten to Senior year.

9. It's home.

No matter what and no matter where I go, the small town that I grew up in will always be a home to me.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
