Don't Touch Her, She's Human.

Gigi Ha-did the right thing, you would've too.

Don't Touch Her, She's Human.
New York Daily News

Human. A term so easily forgotten and misconstrued. The only thing in common that every individual can agree upon is our humanity- we're all humans. You're human, I'm human, Ryan Gosling is human (although his looks are out of this WORLD), we're all humans. So why do we make it a thing to feel like some humans have more rights than others? Why can some humans kill and get away with it while others suffer? Why can some others attack and get away with it, while the ones who defend themselves get scrutinized to no ends? For what? Because they're privileged and that means they should get over it? i don't think so.

Let me happily remind you of the world we live in. On September 22 after the Max Mara fashion show in Italy for Milan fashion week, Gigi and sister Bella Hadid were seen exiting the show and taking pictures with fans as they were approaching their awaiting ride. As both girls were being photographed and walking along with security in tow, a man (rumored to be prankster VitaIii Sediuk) decided to invade Gigi's personal space and lift her up from her waist and grab her. I say rumored since the only person owning up to it has been him, who by the way has done this to various celebrities- one of which put him in jail for 30 days. You would think he would learn his lesson but I guess intelligence is a rare quality. I don't know what part of his idea was more stupid, the fact that he thinks he can just grab a woman and it'll all be fine and dandy or the fact that once he saw her fight back he ran away like the coward he is. Explain to me how grabbing Gigi as a prank and "pissing her off" makes you feel like a better man. Explain how you can justify your stupidity when you decided to run away from the prank you so proudly accomplished because you clearly are more than aware of the possible repercussions that may occur- or you wouldn't have ran away. Just a thought though.

That isn't even the worst of it. What appalls me the most are the ridiculously idiotic headlines i see. "Gigi LASHES OUT", "Gigi can't take a joke", "Gigi goes crazy", Are you kidding me??? Why do we as a society always place the blame on the victim. Not to mention- the female. I'ts like we have this picture perfect, cookie cutter image of men in our minds where only they are perfect and only they are right. Ladies and gentleman welcome to mysoginism!! I would like to make something abundantly blunt and clear. Gigi Hadid had EVERY SINGLE RIGHT to defend herself and fight back. Last time I checked, Her body was Hers, and only hers. Who do you think you are, to grab a woman- celebrity or not and expect them to enjoy it? WITHOUT REQUESTING CONSENT OR YOU KNOW MAYBE MENTIONING REAL QUICK, LIKE HEY CAN I GRAB U? THX.

JUST BECAUSE MY BODY IS MOVING THROUGH A PUBLIC SPACE DOES NOT MEAN IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM THAT MY BODY IS A PUBLIC SPACE. Typing it louder for the people in the back!! I cannot think of one reasonable explanation as to why Gigi shouldn’t have fought back- go on try me. THIS MAN LITERALLY GRABBED HER AND EXPECTED HER TO BE LIKE "LOLOL SO FUN OMG GET OFF"??? Her body is not only is her money maker and backbone to her illustrious career (which by the way is booming at 21) but her body is hers. I don't think I can stress that enough. That means that she has every right to deny someone access to her body, she has every right to fight for her body and she has every right to defend her body. I can promise you that if that man grabbed any man or woman like that in New York it would have resulted in a fist fight, a bloody nose or a fracture. He got away easy, unharmed, unaccused, and unaware of the issues and drama he has unleashed and created. Yet she is the one consistently scrutinized, judged and tormented for what? For defending HER body, HER rights, and HER personal space? You can bet, I would have done just the same as she and it wouldn't make headlines. Learn boundaries, respect them, refrain from overstepping where your foot (or hands) are not allowed- you may actually end up being a human being. "But she's famous" is not an excuse for her to take a minor assault lightly. She maybe famous, but above all she is human. As humans, we have the right to our bodies, our decisions for or about them and who gets access, that is for the body's owner to decide not somebody on the street. Gigi, keep doing you. Continue to fight and defend yourself- the way you and anyone else in your situation should. It's human nature, and you just so happen to be human. Huh. Who would have thought?

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
