One of my favorite indie and steam games to play is "Don't Starve." My friends and I always describe it as "Minecraft on steroids" because it's essentially a survival game that becomes increasingly difficult to play.

Today I'm going to be talking about the characters from "Don't Starve." I made the first part of this madly long list of characters in the past so if you want to see what other characters are available, feel free to check that article out!

Woodie

His character description is, "Has a lovely ax. And a terrible secret. Is thankful for bountiful harvests." What this actually means is that Woodie comes with his own ax but he also comes with a meter with how much logs he can chop. If he chops too much, he becomes a were-beaver where he is ultimately immune to most things but it also comes with many downfalls. After returning to his normal self, he will have very little sanity and health remaining. So be careful of who you provoke!

Wes

His character description is, "Can't talk. Has trouble staying alive. Practices balloonomancy." What this is trying to say in a nice way is that Wes is the worst character in the game. I'm not even kidding. Unfortunately, poor Wes comes with no benefits and only cons. He can make balloons but can hurt himself if he pops them. He also gets hungry faster than others and is weaker than most of the other characters as well. Don't pick him unless you really want a challenge.

Maxwell

His character description is, "Is dapper, but frail. Can split his mind into pieces. On a first-name basis with the night." Maxwell is the only character whose name doesn't start with a W and it doesn't just end there. His own character history is so interesting as he is the original character to have been trapped in the caves and required the help of other characters to get him out. In terms of character analysis, he can split his sanity into actual characters where he can help do work for him like fight on his behalf, mine rocks, or chop trees. His downside? Insanely low health. Just to give you an idea, Wigfrid has 200 health and Maxwell has only a whopping 75. Many mobs deal health damage of 15-25 so be careful as Maxwell.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
