You may not know who Mark Ronson is, but you've jammed to his music. I can guarantee that. He is responsible for the master album that contained Uptown Funk. That album is straight fire but no one really listened to it. Its funny because it sounds like a one hit wonder situation, you know one song goes big but none of the others do and presumably they're all trash. Well, I'm here to tell you that they are not, they bang. Dude, this album was positively received by most critics and also got an A- from the A.V. Club, saying that the album is "pop-friendly, and undeniably sexy collection of funk and R&B", and praised the tracks "Summer Breaking", "Daffodils", "Feel Right", "I Can’t Lose" "Crack In The Pearl", and "Heavy And Rolling". What's awesome about the album is that it's Mark's 4th studio album and he dedicated it to Amy Winehouse. It's called Uptown Special and it totally reminds me of the 80's, not necessarily 80's music but it mostly feels like it would be perfect to use as the score for a movie about the 80's. The album is an extremely talented producer just doing his thing, and the story behind the album is just as awesome, its supposed to represent all these different parts of America, so Ronson took a road trip all across America, and the artists he found singing in bars and local dives, he put them on the album. It is all different, and just good music. It's a good album to look back on and revisit all of those songs that you avoided just to listen to Uptown Funk. And yes, Uptown Funk frickin' bumps. It's a great song, but you really need to check out the other songs if you want to get a full scope of his album. So stop sleeping on Mark Ronson. He's a super talented producer that no one really talks about. Also, does anyone know what happened to Macklemore??
PS. Stevie Wonder is on the album. Oh you didn't know that? Yeah, go check it out right now. Oh and if you're too lazy to actually go buy the album, I found the whole thing on YouTube and pasted it for you below.
