Bonfires, pumpkin patches, corn mazes, oh my!

These are only just a few of the many things we enjoy during the fall. However, for many I know you may think that there is one thing missing- a boy.

Girl, let me just tell you that you can enjoy this just as much if not more with some of your closest girl friends. Stop seeking a temporary person just to enjoy a moment full of memories. If you're looking for a man to just enjoy these moments with just so you'll be spoiled for a season then you'll be disappointed.

Grab some of your closest girl friends and go make memories that you can only make with them. Some of my greatest fall memories have been spent with some of my very best friends.

One Halloween I went to a haunted house with a few of my best friends. I had no man and neither did they. I'll never forget my best friend screaming as she ripped out my head full of extensions as we rounded a corner. I had never laughed so hard. I didn't need a man to hide against when I had my best friend to throw in front of me.

I know it's exciting to have a boyfriend to make these memories with, but there is nothing that will compare when having a season full of memories with your best friends.

Host pumpkin carving or painting parties with your girls while watching cheesy Halloween movies. Better yet, why don't you do it under a massive blanket fort.

Instead of being discouraged and upset over not having a boyfriend to enjoy the holiday festivities with take advantage of the moments and make those memories with your best girls instead.

Find ways to make it fun instead of dwelling on the lack of romance you may be lacking. Don't forget that friends are forever.

This holiday season I do have a husband, but being six hours away from home I really miss my best friends. Instead of seeking just my husband to enjoy the moments with I am going to include all of my new friends and make new traditions and memories with. Friends is important ladies- don't forget that. While it's great to have a boyfriend and a husband who becomes your best friend, it is nothing like being surrounded by some of your best friends making memories that only your girls will understand.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
