It's hard to find a really good friend, a friend who Is with you through thick and thin. A friend who, no matter how far apart you are, will always be there for you. Within my lifetime, I have accumulated a handful of these friends all of which I would defend with my life. Since it has been so hard to find my people, I'm extremely loyal to them when I do find them.

Below are just 13 of the reasons why you shouldn't mess with my best friend.

1. Her beef is my beef

Morgan Essen

If you mess with her, you mess with me. I will take her side 99% of the time so just assume we are on the same page.

2. I know everything

Morgan Essen

Within 10 minutes of something happening, I already know about it with full details. Don't assume she won't tell anyone because by then she already told me.

3. Chances are I'm close with her family

Morgan Essen

I know them and they know me. I already have their trust and they have mine. They will believe me over you because they love me as if I was family. Loyalty and love make you family, not blood.

4. If you think she holds a grudge, then you should see me

Morgan Essen

Yeah, she may forgive you for whatever you did, but you hurt my best friend. I'm not going to forgive you and I'll always have the incident in the back of my mind.

5. I will never trust you...ever

Morgan Essen

If you hurt my best friend, then you lose my trust. I can be your biggest supporter or your best enemy. Take your pick.

6. Her personal friends are my friends

Morgan Essen

If I'm friends with her friends, that means at least all three of us know what you did. There will always be a communication and if we need back up I guarantee her friends will be there.

7. If something happens in the middle of the night... I'm there

Morgan Essen

Whether it's 9 p.m. or 3 a.m. I will be there. I may not be there in person, but I'm defiantly there on the phone. Just always assume you are talking to both of us.

8. Her favorite animal has become my favorite animal

Morgan Essen

Because we bring out the best in each other even if it means having many favorite animals.

9. I love her pet and she loves mine

Morgan Essen

Cause every dynamic duo needs animal sidekicks.

10. We have matching outfits

Morgan Essen

Just to emphasize how close we are.

11. We are both probably on a lot of caffeine

Morgan Essen

We will be ready to go at all times. The caffeine gives us the energy we need to squash any problem at any time.

12. I'm there in spirit

Kelsey Dietrich

If I absolutely am unable to be on the phone or there in person I will definitely be there in spirit.

13. If we can survive chemistry lab together, then we can survive anything

Kelsey Dietrich

Because nothing is more difficult than those three hours a week trying not to catch things on fire.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
