You ask me why I love you, why I put up with you, and why I stay with you. In those moments, I can never find the words to say it. How do you describe the way someone’s company makes you a superior version of yourself? How do you explain that in a world full of chaos and confusion, one person makes everything make sense?

I fell in love with you like people fall in love with food. First rejecting the unfamiliar, then everyday craving the same thing.

I don’t love you just because I’m supposed to because you know my secrets, the kind of secrets that no one gets to hear.

I love you because you know my fears, and you force me to face them. You make me stronger, and you believe in my dreams even when I have the doubts.

I love you because you can tell with just a glance what my mood is. You won’t stop until I tell you the truth, and with just one word, you know if something’s wrong. You accept my flaws, and you embrace them telling me that it’s okay to be different.

I love you because you know just how to get under my skin, but, I love our ability to forgive and always find our way back. I love you because you know me better than I know myself.

I love how we can walk away but still walk together.

I love how we can be two different people with lives outside of our relationship, but we always share it with the other. You respect me, and in doing so, I learned how to respect myself.

I love you for every laugh. I love you because you make me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world. I love how protective you are of me.

I love the way you love me too. For the way, our hands fit perfectly together. I love you for every hug and how you always hold me a little tighter.

I love you for every quirk and for every flaw. Because you understand me.

I love you for every kiss, every smile, every laugh, every memory. For all you are. And all you make me.

I love you without knowing why or how. All I know is I don't want to stop.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
